The potential targets include locations in Estonia, Norway, Germany and the United Kingdom.

A recent report has revealed that Russia has identified 32 potential nuclear strike targets across the globe, including several in Europe.

Targets like Germany and United Kingdom

According to SE the map, reportedly prepared between 2008 and 2014, was shown to Russian military officers years before the annexation of Crimea and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. It outlines the sites that could be targeted if a nuclear conflict were to occur.

The potential targets include locations in Estonia, Norway, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan, reflecting Russia’s extensive nuclear strategy in the event of a conflict with the West.

The map indicates Russia’s preparedness to use tactical nuclear weapons early in a potential conflict, a strategy that has been a concern for Western military planners.

Putin Suggests Follow Through

In a related development, Russian President Vladimir Putin has recently renewed his nuclear threats, warning the United States and its allies about the consequences of deploying long-range missiles in Germany by 2026.

Putin has suggested that if the U.S. follows through with these plans, Russia will respond by deploying similar missiles capable of striking Western targets.

He likened this situation to the Cold War-era tensions that arose from the deployment of U.S. Pershing missiles in Europe, which brought the world to the brink of a nuclear crisis.
