Most dog owners find it challenging enough to walk one dog — keeping control, picking up after them, and managing the inevitable tangle of leashes.
If you’ve ever walked more than one dog at a time, you know how tricky it can be when the dogs head in different directions. But now, a Canadian super-dog-walker has smashed the world record by walking 38 dogs simultaneously.
Previous Record was 36
This incredible feat took place on in Goesan, South Korea, where the Canadian managed to surpass the previous record of 36 dogs walked at once. According to News 18, the event was not just about breaking records, but also aimed at raising awareness for rescued dogs.
All 38 of the dogs were rescued from local communities and are currently up for adoption through Korean K9 Rescue (KK9R).
This organization works tirelessly to save dogs from factory farms and the meat industry in South Korea, giving them a second chance at life.
The dogs involved in this walk were all former strays or animals rescued from harsh conditions, and many are still awaiting adoption.
Derserve Loving Homes
Mitchell Rudy, the lead contributor to the project BONK and the person behind this record-breaking walk, expressed his excitement at the accomplishment.'
He emphasized the importance of finding homes for the rescued dogs, saying, “These dogs deserve loving homes.” Many of the dogs had been saved from difficult and inhumane conditions, making this achievement even more meaningful.
Rudy’s goal was not only to set a Guinness World Record but also to highlight the resilience of these animals and increase their chances of adoption. The 1-kilometer walk demonstrated just how strong and capable these dogs are, helping to change perceptions and encourage potential adopters.
