Dog training can be a challenging task, but for some breeds, it may require a bit more patience than usual.

According to dog behavior specialist Will Atherton, who has worked with thousands of dogs throughout his career, there is one particular type of dog that stands out as the hardest to train.

This was reported by the British media outlet Mirror.

In a video on TikTok, where Atherton has over 900,000 followers, he reveals which dog breeds he finds the most difficult to train.

"What is the hardest breed of dog I've ever had to train?" Atherton asks in his video.

His answer is clear: the breeds that are bred to work independently present the greatest challenges.

In particular, he cites guard dog breeds such as the Caucasian Ovcharka and the Turkish Kangal as typical examples of dogs that can be difficult to train. One of the more popular breeds, the Siberian Husky, is also one of the biggest challenges for dog trainers.

"That's why you rarely, if ever, see professional dog trainers or specialists owning them," he reveals.

The comments below the video echo Atherton's experiences.

"As a third-time Husky owner, I partially agree," writes one user. "They are stubborn and independent, but also very clever. They just get bored quickly."

So, if you're looking for a dog that's easy to train, a Siberian Husky might not be the best choice.
