A group of monkeys attacked tourists relaxing on a beach in Thailand, and the incident was caught on video. (Video can be found at the bottom)

In the footage, filmed by one of the vacationers at Monkey Beach on the Phi Phi Islands, a group of primates can be seen suddenly behaving aggressively towards tourists and attacking them.

Sunbathers in swimsuits scatter, as the monkeys leap at them, grabbing their legs.

One woman fell, and nearby tourists struggled to fend off the animals, waving their bags. Among the monkeys attacking the vacationers were also young ones.

The island authorities have addressed the tourists, reminding them that monkeys are wild animals and can behave unpredictably if they feel threatened. People are advised not to make sudden movements in the presence of primates, to maintain distance, keep an eye on their belongings, and not to feed them.

Earlier in Thailand, wild monkeys attacked an infant and bit through his skull. The three-month-old boy was alone at home drinking milk when a troop of Java macaques broke into the house and climbed into the baby's crib.
