Chinese automaker Roewe, a subsidiary of SAIC Motors, has set a new Guinness World Record with its D7 DMH plug-in hybrid sedan, which completed a four-day journey across China.

This record-breaking trip covered 2208 kilometers (1,372 miles) without a single refuel or recharge.

Starting in Lanzhou, the Roewe D7 DMH passed through cities like Jiayuguan, Dunhuang, and Turpan before finishing its journey in Urumqi.

According to Car News China, the sedan achieved an impressive fuel economy of just 2.49L/100km (94.4 mpg).

Powered by a four-cylinder engine paired with a single electric motor, the D7 DMH balances efficiency and performance, boasting a 0-100 km/h time (0-62 mph) of 7.9 seconds.

With its launch in Chinese showrooms in 2023, the D7 DMH offers an option for consumers seeking long-range capabilities combined with fuel economy.
