Jaguar is taking drastic action as part of its transformation. Boosted reports that the brand is cutting 75% of its dealers in England, leaving only a select few in business.

The decision is part of Jaguar's plan to reinvent itself by 2026.

By then, the company aims to sell only electric cars, targeting customers willing to pay at least a million for a vehicle.

“We are reducing our footprint significantly,” said Rawdan Glover, Jaguar’s managing director, in an interview with Car Dealer Magazine.

Jaguar currently operates 80 dealerships in the UK. According to the Daily Mail, that number will shrink to just 20 by 2026.

This aligns with Jaguar's strategy to focus on its future as a luxury brand. The company plans to place its remaining dealerships in areas with high concentrations of wealthy customers. These dealers will specialize in selling high-end, exclusive vehicles.

“As part of our new strategy, we said we would adjust the size of our dealer network,” Jaguar stated in a comment to This is Money.

The brand is also reducing sales volume as part of its luxury-focused approach. Jaguar aims to compete with prestigious names like Rolls-Royce and Bentley, prioritizing exclusivity over mass-market appeal.

No Cars to Sell—Yet

At the moment, Jaguar has no new cars available for purchase. Dealers who remain in the network are left to sell only existing stock until production resumes.

The first car in Jaguar’s revamped lineup is expected to debut in 2026.

The model is designed to rival the likes of Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Following that, Jaguar plans to launch a luxury SUV to compete with models like the Bentley Bentayga.
