Jaguar, the British luxury car icon, is making a huge move: it’s hitting pause on new car sales until 2026.
Why? The brand is gearing up to relaunch as an all-electric luxury brand, completely reinventing its lineup.
Already, Jaguar has stopped selling models like the F-Type, XE, and XF in the UK, and next month, its I-Pace and E-Pace will follow suit.
According to the Autodrive, the only the F-Pace will stay on a bit longer, available in some markets until early 2026.
So what’s next? Jaguar’s got big plans.
CEO Adrian Mardell confirmed the first of their three upcoming all-electric models is already in testing, with the first reveal set for summer 2026.
The flagship model will be a high-powered, four-door sedan designed to compete with the Porsche Taycan and set Jaguar up alongside luxury players like Bentley in the high-end EV market. This new EV line will eventually include two luxury SUVs, all built on Jaguar’s next-gen electric platform.
Jaguar’s decision to go all-in on luxury electric cars is a gutsy one, especially with EV demand slowing down in some places, like the U.S.
But this high-stakes move could pay off, setting Jaguar apart as a high-performance electric powerhouse. For now, the brand is stepping back, but it’s clear the big comeback is just around the corner.
