Few automakers rival Lamborghini in combining performance, innovation, and style.
For decades, the brand has set new standards for luxury and speed.
Now, as the automotive industry shifts toward more sustainable technologies, Lamborghini is embracing change while staying true to its legacy of engineering excellence.
Fully Embrace Hybrid Technology
Lamborghini has officially ended the production of vehicles without electric motors. Moving forward, all new models will feature hybrid or electric powertrains.
This step reflects the company’s focus on merging sustainability with the high performance expected of its cars, according to Boosted.
This transition impacts models like the Urus SUV, previously available in purely petrol-powered versions such as the Urus S and Performante.
These variants have been discontinued, and the Urus SE plug-in hybrid is now the sole option for buyers.
The Urus SE pairs a four-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor, producing 800 horsepower.
It achieves a top speed of 312 km/h, surpassing earlier versions in this respect.
The company’s newest supercars, Temerario and Revuelto, were introduced as hybrid vehicles. The Revuelto combines a V12 engine with three electric motors, delivering an incredible 1,015 horsepower.
The Temerario, with a V8 engine and a similar electric motor setup, offers 920 horsepower.
While Lamborghini has fully embraced hybrid technology, it is holding off on launching an all-electric supercar.
The brand’s first fully electric model is now planned for release in 2029. Lamborghini attributes the delay to current market conditions, which they believe are not yet favorable for such a move.
