The electric vehicle market has a new game-changer, and it’s setting a record-breaking standard for charging speed. Zeekr, the Chinese EV brand backed by Geely, has just introduced the 2025 edition of the Zeekr 007, an electric sedan that surpasses its competitors in multiple ways.

The most remarkable feature of the Zeekr 007 is its revolutionary battery technology, which allows it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes.

This makes it the fastest-charging electric car in the world, beating out high-performance EVs like the Porsche Taycan and Kia EV6.

The breakthrough comes from Zeekr’s latest Golden Battery, a 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) unit. Unlike other ultra-fast charging systems, Zeekr claims this technology does not compromise battery durability or safety.

According to Mobilsiden, the company has subjected the battery to extreme stress tests, including exposure to 1000°C, to ensure it remains stable under harsh conditions.

The Zeekr 007 isn’t just about fast charging—it delivers exceptional performance as well.

The rear-wheel-drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds, while the all-wheel-drive performance model does it in a staggering 2.84 seconds.

This puts the Zeekr 007 in direct competition with some of the world’s most powerful electric sedans, offering both speed and efficiency.

The first Zeekr 007 units have already arrived in Europe. Additionally, Zeekr is considering European production facilities, which could make their vehicles more affordable and accessible for customers across the continent.
