Winning a Lamborghini sounds like a dream come true—until the bills start piling up.
Michael Meija, the lucky winner of Shakira’s Lamborghini Urus, is already looking to part ways with the celebrity-owned super SUV—just two months after taking it home.
His asking price? A staggering $1 million.

From Jackpot to Financial Nightmare
Shakira gave away the purple Lamborghini Urus as part of a competition celebrating her song Soltera. According to a report by Boosted, along with the car, Meija also received an extra $90,000 to cover expenses like insurance and maintenance.
But even that wasn’t enough.
With insurance costs of $2,000 per month and gas refills every other day at $85 per tank, owning the high-performance SUV has become a financial burden rather than a luxury.
"So far, I have been able to pay all fees for change of ownership, legal costs and insurance for six months. But now the periodic fees also come at the end of the year," Meija told the auto magazine The Drive.
Selling at a Premium
Despite the hefty upkeep, the Lamborghini’s celebrity connection has driven up its market value.
Meija has already received offers up to $800,000 — far more than a standard used Urus.
However, he has his sights set higher.
"I think it's everyone's dream to get their first million. One million and one dollar—then I’m satisfied," Meija added.
The Lamborghini stands out not just because of its previous owner, but also for its custom purple paint job and white and neon green interior.
Some have suggested he could make more by selling it for parts, but Meija remains firm on his million-dollar goal.
