Adidas is conducting an investigation into alleged misconduct by some of its employees in China.

A company spokesperson announced on Wednesday in Herzogenaurach that the investigation is ongoing, following receipt of an anonymous letter on June 7.

Anonymous Tip Sparks Probe into Code of Conduct Violations

According to Tag24 the letter suggested potential rule violations and inappropriate leadership behavior.

According to the spokesperson, evidence has been found indicating that one employee breached the company's code of conduct in interactions with local suppliers, while another employee failed to meet the company's expectations in their leadership role.

Independent Consultants Aid in Investigation

Adidas is collaborating with independent external consultants to thoroughly investigate these allegations. The spokesperson did not provide further details.

However, Bloomberg reported that two employees in China have already left the company.

The Financial Times added that the anonymous letter appears to have come from within Adidas' own workforce and implicates several employees, including a member of senior management.
