In a shocking incident on Sunday afternoon, multiple people were injured in a knife attack in Dublin, prompting an immediate response from emergency services and police.

As reported by HotNews.ro, Irish authorities described the situation as a "serious incident" but reassured the public that there is no ongoing threat.

At least three people were stabbed in what appear to have been random attacks in the Stoneybatter area.

One victim was reportedly assaulted at the entrance to their home upon returning from an outing. The injured were transported to a nearby hospital, though their wounds are not considered life-threatening.

The attacker allegedly used household objects as weapons. Police sources have indicated that there is no evidence to suggest a link to terrorism.

Swift Police Response

The attack occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m. local time, leading authorities to advise residents to stay indoors.

The suspect was apprehended on a nearby street, which was subsequently cordoned off by police. Witnesses reported that the individual had his face covered at the time of the arrest.

Following the arrest, police launched an extensive investigation, going door-to-door to interview residents and collect security camera footage as well as mobile phone recordings.

The incident has heightened concerns over public safety in the normally peaceful Stoneybatter district. Authorities continue to analyze evidence as they work to understand the suspect’s motives and circumstances leading to the attack.
