American podcaster Lex Fridman has announced his intention to travel to Russia to interview President Vladimir Putin.
Fridman, known for his in-depth interviews on science, politics, and culture, revealed his plans during a conversation with comedian and commentator Joe Rogan on January 22.
Fridman acknowledged the risks involved but emphasized his commitment to promoting dialogue and peace amid the ongoing conflict.
“There’s probably a lot to say about this war,” Fridman said, as reported by United24 Media.
“I should note that I’ve already interviewed Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and I’ll be traveling to Russia to interview Vladimir Putin. I’m aware of the risks, I accept the risks, and the goal is to contribute, in my small way, to pushing for peace,” he added.
Earlier this month, Fridman visited Kyiv to speak with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
During their January 5 interview, Zelenskyy expressed concerns about a potential ceasefire with Russia, emphasizing the need for robust security guarantees to protect Ukraine.
