Emma Heming Willis, the wife of 'Die Hard' actor Bruce Willis, has openly shared the challenges her family has faced since Bruce was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in February this year.
In a recent Instagram video, Emma Willis discussed the difficulty of special occasions for the family, particularly their 16th wedding anniversary.
"Bruce calls it the “inner circle.” It’s people that we are fortunate to have in our lives that we can call, trust and rely on. I’m lucky enough to have an inner circle of people that don’t offer a way to fix-it but can just listen. That helps tremendously." Emma Heming Willis states in the Instagram post next to the video.
Dealing with Hardships
Emma Willis has not hidden the fact that it has been a tough time for the entire family.
In August, she posted an emotional video on Instagram, expressing her situation and revealing that she has been caring for her husband since his diagnosis.
In her latest video, she admits that holidays and anniversaries are particularly challenging and shares that she had a heartfelt conversation with a close friend, allowing her to express her emotions.
Love and Admiration Grow
Despite the difficulties, Emma Willis also shared a photo on her Instagram profile, showing her standing with her husband and kissing him on the cheek.
She writes, "My love and admiration for him only grow," indicating that love and care continue to thrive in the family despite the hardships.
Bruce Willis' Health Condition
In March last year, it was announced that Bruce Willis would end his acting career due to aphasia.
Later, he received a more specific diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. His family released a joint statement explaining that the condition had progressed and that there is no cure for it.
Bruce Willis and Emma Heming Willis married in 2009 and have two children, Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9. Willis also has three adult children with actress Demi Moore.
