Former Disney Channel star Skai Jackson was arrested last week on suspicion of domestic battery following an alleged altercation with her boyfriend at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
The incident occurred on August 9 around 5:10 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
"While inside the Universal Studios Theme Park, a domestic incident occurred involving Skai Jackson," the spokesperson said in a statement shared with Newsweek.
The initial investigation determined that Jackson was the primary aggressor, leading to her arrest for misdemeanor spousal battery.
Jackson was taken to a police station in West Hollywood, and the case is currently under investigation. It will be sent to the Van Nuys Superior Court for further review.
Reports from TMZ and Page Six indicate that CCTV footage shows Jackson pushing her boyfriend during the altercation.
On-site security called the police after the incident, and authorities noted that there were no weapons involved and no visible injuries. Despite this, TMZ reported that Jackson and her boyfriend denied having a physical encounter.
Sources also told TMZ that the couple is engaged and expecting their first child, although this information had not been made public before the incident.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is currently reviewing the case.
