Dabney Coleman, whose sharp wit and memorable performances graced both the big and small screens, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 16th. His daughter, Quincy Coleman, shared the news with TMZ, reflecting on her father's legacy:

"My father, Dabney Wharton Coleman, took his last breath peacefully at home," Quincy said. "He spent his time on earth with a curious mind, a generous heart, and a passionate, worthy, and humorous soul that brought laughter to so many. Just as he lived, he moved through the final chapter of his life with grace."

The official cause of death has not been disclosed.

Coleman's career spanned decades, with around 200 roles to his name across television and film. He is perhaps best remembered for his performance as the insensitive boss in the 1980 hit "9 to 5," starring alongside Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton.

In 1982, he played the chauvinistic director in the acclaimed film "Tootsie," opposite Dustin Hoffman.

In recent years, Coleman enjoyed renewed recognition for his role in the critically acclaimed series "Yellowstone," where he starred alongside Kevin Costner. This late-career role showcased his enduring talent and adaptability in an ever-evolving industry.
