Actor Suzanne Somers passed away on Sunday morning, leaving her longtime colleague from the '90s hit series 'Step by Step,' Patrick Duffy, to express his grief.
The two had worked together for seven seasons on the show that aired in the 90's.
Duffy shared his feelings with People magazine, stating,
"Like everyone who knew her, I was shocked yesterday by the news that my dear and close friend Suzanne had passed away. For a brief moment, it was incomprehensible."
He added that his role now is to "stand by the road" as she continues on her "endless journey."
Among the things Duffy will miss most about Somers are phone calls, emails, visits, meals, and laughter.
Somers died after a long battle with an aggressive form of breast cancer at the age of 76.
She was surrounded by her husband Alan, her son Bruce, and close family members.
The family had gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16 but will now celebrate her extraordinary life instead.
