Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, based in Brooklyn, New York, has issued a voluntary recall of its Vegan Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll ice cream due to the presence of undeclared peanuts.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), this recall specifically affects pints sold at their 81 Bergen Street location in Brooklyn.

Product Details:

  • Name of Product: Vegan Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll

  • Container Size: 14 oz

  • Lot Number: 24V094 (found on the bottom of the package)

  • Product UPC: 850005872375

  • Best By Date: April 3, 2026 (also found on the bottom of the package)

This recall is limited to just four pints of this specific product, and no other Van Leeuwen products or lot numbers are affected.

Reason for Recall

The recall was began after it was discovered that pints containing peanuts were accidentally distributed without proper labeling.

This mistake was traced back to a mock case sample that mistakenly entered the distribution channel.

So far, one adverse reaction has been reported, and four of the eight affected pints have been recovered, leaving four still unaccounted for.
