If you’ve recently purchased bakery items from Walmart, it’s time to check your pantry.

Over 40,000 Great Value Cheese Danish and Cinnamon Roll products are being recalled in U.S. and Canada due to potential plastic contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This was reported by EatingWell.

What Products Are Affected?

The recall involves two specific Great Value bakery items:

  1. Great Value Cheese Danish

    • Package size: 16.5 ounces

    • UPC: 078742201177

  2. Great Value Cinnamon Rolls

    • Package size: 16.5 ounces

    • UPC: 078742201160

Both products share the printed lot number L092525200 269X and were sold before November 1.

While these items are no longer on store shelves, they could still be in homes, refrigerators, or freezers.

The recall was issued after reports of small pieces of plastic being found in the products, posing a potential choking hazard or risk of injury.

The FDA categorized this as a Class II recall, which means consumption of the affected items could result in “temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.”

What Should You Do?

  • Check your kitchen: Look for the recalled Cheese Danish and Cinnamon Roll products.

  • Stop consumption: Do not eat the items if they match the recall information.

  • Return for refund: Bring the recalled items to your local Walmart for a full refund.

If you’ve already consumed a recalled product and are experiencing symptoms, seek medical attention and consult your healthcare provider.
