If you are a dog owner, you may have often felt the desire to share the bed with your four-legged friend but doubted whether it is a good idea. Now there is an answer, and it is extremely gratifying.

Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, conducted a comprehensive study to analyze the sleep patterns of nearly 1,000 women who share a bed with either their dog, cat, or partner.

The results of the study are surprising and shed new light on how sharing a bed with different companions affects sleep quality.

The study concluded that our four-legged furry friends, dogs, are best suited when it comes to sharing a bed with us humans.

Unlike cats, dogs have sleeping habits very similar to ours and are generally less disruptive at night.

You might think that a partner would be the best choice for a good night's sleep, but according to researchers, that's not the case.

The researchers explain that dogs not only take up less space in the bed than humans but also sleep much more peacefully. They toss and turn less, snore less, and are generally less present in their sleep.

Another surprising conclusion of the study was that the women felt safer and more secure in bed with their dog than with their partner.

These results point to the deep connection and trust that can develop between people and their dogs when they share an experience as intimate and personal as sleep.

Although preferences may vary from person to person, this research offers interesting insights into the relationship between people and their pets, as well as the potential benefits of sharing a bed with a dog.
