If you want your oven to be sparkling clean and smell fresh, this cleaning trick is something you should know.

Ideal for a gentle refresh, this oven cleaning trick involves only two ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen.

The owner of the TikTok channel Jess, Home Cleaning and Hacks, shared her "simple way" to make the oven smell clean and remove dirt.

First, add one-and-a-half cups of water to an oven-safe bowl and put a few slices of lemon in it. Place the lemon water in a warm oven (220C) for 20 minutes and let the oven cool down a bit. Remove the lemons, and then moisten a cloth with the lemon water and wipe the oven bottom, walls, racks, and door.

However, not everyone was convinced. Dissatisfied visitors to the TikTok channel expressed their concerns after watching the entire video.

One commenter, Tracey Wyeth, complained: "Your oven is not dirty." Another, FatherOfThreeDenmark, exclaimed: "Wow... did you just clean an already clean oven?"

In response, Jess emphasized that her lemon water cleaning trick is "an oven refresh" that makes the oven "smell good" and helps to "wipe away light dirt." She stressed that her cleaning trick is not suitable for "burnt food," which requires a different method.

For a dirtier oven, Charlotte from Care Cleaning Services revealed the "easiest and most effective way to clean your oven." Using Easy-Off Oven, an oven and BBQ cleaning solution, business owner Charlotte showed how easy the job can be.

With a pair of protective gloves, a non-abrasive dish sponge, and microfiber cloths, Charlotte prepared to clean. "First, take out all the racks," instructed Charlotte, except for the side racks, which she finds easier to leave in the oven. "And spray everything you see in the oven," added Charlotte. "You need to let it sit for half an hour."

Come back and wipe the racks with the non-abrasive sponge, and the dirt will disappear almost instantly. "It's so satisfying," said Charlotte, as she continued to scrub the inside of the oven. Finish by polishing the oven with a microfiber cloth.
