The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a nationwide recall on Montreal Fudge brand Chocolate Fudge with Nuts sold in 41 states, due to mold contamination.

If you have this product in your home, it’s important to take action.

Health Risks:

The recall comes after a consumer found mold in the product, prompting an investigation.

Mold contamination can lead to health issues, as molds produce mycotoxins, which are harmful substances. Eating contaminated food can cause symptoms like nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea.

If you have any of the recalled fudge, dispose of it immediately or return it to the store for a full refund. Clean any surfaces or items that came into contact with the product, and if you experience symptoms of food poisoning, contact your doctor right away.
