LG recalls 500,000 ovens after reports of fires, injuries, and pet deaths—check if yours is affected.

Nearly 500,000 LG electric ovens have been recalled nationwide due to a fire hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The affected Slide-In and Freestanding Electric Ranges were sold between 2015 and January 2025 at major retailers, including Costco, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Best Buy, as well as online at LG.com.

What’s the Risk?

The recall follows 86 reports of accidental activation caused by unintentional contact with the knobs—often by people or pets. This has led to:

“These LG ranges have been involved in more than 28 fires,” the CPSC stated. “At least five fires caused extensive property damage.”

Check inside the oven door or storage drawer for one of the following model numbers: LDE4411ST, LDE4413ST, LDE4413BD, LSE4611ST, LSE4611BD, LSE4613ST, LSE4613BD, LSEL6337D, LSEL6337F, LSEL6331F, LSEL6333F, LSEL6333D, LSEL6335D, LSEL6335F, LTE4815BM, LTE4815BD, LTE4815ST, LRE4215ST, and LTEL7337F.
