Picture this: It's Wednesday evening, and you're in the kitchen whipping up a delicious stew. After stirring it a bit, you need to grab something else from the kitchen, so you leave your ladle resting against the edge of the pot.

When you return, you find the ladle has slipped into your stew. Now you're left with a messy ladle and the risk of burning your fingers trying to fish it out.

Luckily, there's an easy solution to this common kitchen conundrum. We've got a simple life hack to help you avoid this situation in the future.

How to Prevent Your Ladle from Sliding into the Pot

What You'll Need:

  1. A short-handled spoon

  2. A rubber band

Method:

  1. Use the rubber band to tie the short spoon to the handle of the ladle. Position the bowl of the short spoon facing outwards from the ladle's handle. This will act as a support to rest the ladle on after use.

Isn't that an incredibly easy solution to the problem?
