Over 40,000 Wolf Ovens Recalled Nationwide Due to Fire Hazard

Around 45,400 Wolf brand oven ranges sold across the U.S. and Canada have been recalled due to a fire hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The affected ovens are Wolf dual fuel ranges with infrared griddles, which have reportedly been turning on unexpectedly.

The recall involves the following models:

  • 36” Dual Fuel Range—4 Burners and Infrared Griddle

  • 48” Dual Fuel Range—4 Burners and Infrared Griddle

  • 48” Dual Fuel Range—4 Burners, Infrared Charbroiler, and Infrared Griddle

  • 48” Dual Fuel Range—6 Burners and Infrared Griddle

  • 60” Dual Fuel Range—6 Burners and Infrared Griddle

  • 60” Dual Fuel Range—6 Burners, Infrared Charbroiler, and Infrared Griddle

The model numbers, located on the rating plate under the top of the oven, include DF36450G, DF48450DG, DF48450CG, DF48650G, and DF60650DG variations, among others.

These units were sold at appliance stores nationwide from August 2020 through September 2024.

The recall follows 36 reports of the griddle ranges turning on unexpectedly. Although no injuries have been reported, Wolf Appliance is offering a free repair for affected models.
