If you are in the market for a steam cleaner or have recently bought one, make sure it is not a defective model.
BISSELL Inc. has just issued a recall for more than 3 million Steam Shot Handheld Steam Cleaners sold across the United States and Canada due to a potential burn hazard.
According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled steam cleaner has been reported to expel hot water or steam onto users while heating or during use. This flaw poses a burn risk for the handler.
BISSELL has received 183 reports of hot water or steam escaping from the product, including 157 reports of minor burn injuries.
