Costco has issued a recall for a popular deli item sold in 16 states due to the presence of undeclared allergens.

The recalled product is the Ancient Grain + Vegetable Salad, marked with item number #25247.

The salad is being recalled due to mislabeling, as it failed to declare the presence of soy and almonds, which are known allergens.

The affected Ancient Grain + Vegetable Salad were sold in the following states:

Allergy Warning

Customers with allergies or sensitivities to soy or almonds are advised not to eat this salad. Instead, they should return it to their local Costco for a full refund.

Consuming the product could lead to severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, which can cause hives, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, tightness in the throat, rapid heartbeat, and in severe cases, cardiac arrest.
