Are you planning to carve pumpkins for Halloween and want to try a new trick?

As Halloween approaches, many people follow the age-old tradition of carving pumpkins and placing a candle inside to light them up.

But a new TikTok trick is going viral, promising to make the process faster, safer, and easier.

According to The Mirror, TikTok user @themilso shared a video demonstrating her method, which involves cutting out the bottom of the pumpkin rather than the top.

This simple tweak, she claims, makes hollowing out the pumpkin quicker and placing a candle inside much easier.

Watch the video below the article.

Quick Hollowing Process

By cutting the bottom of the pumpkin, you can place a candle securely on the ground and simply place the pumpkin over it.

This avoids the hassle of lowering a candle into the pumpkin from the top and the risk of burning your fingers.

According to another TikTok user, cutting the bottom speeds up the hollowing process, claiming, "The hollowing only takes a quarter of the normal time."

Others noted that this method prevents the top of the pumpkin from caving in as it rots.

"We've always done it this way! So easy to just place it over your light!" commented one enthusiastic user. The video has already received thousands of likes, and many users are trying the trick themselves.

As with any viral hack, there are a few skeptics.

Some users argue that cutting the bottom of the pumpkin causes it to rot faster.

"We tried it this year, and they didn't even last a week before they went moldy," warned one commenter.
