As the autumn days begin to shorten, Ikea is embracing the season with a range of new products rooted in Swedish pattern and craft traditions.
From woven textiles to multifunctional furniture, the collection brings a touch of Scandinavian coziness to modern homes.
Designer Inga Leo, who led the creation of the new October 2024 textile collection, drew inspiration from the traditional crafts she grew up with.
“Sewing, weaving, knitting, and embroidery were strong traditions in my family,” explains the Swedish designer in a press release.
“For this collection, I interpreted crafts like kilim rugs, Flemish weaving, and wool embroidery. I aimed for simplicity and contrast, using recurring elements such as stars and geometric shapes. My hope is that these designs bring comfort and harmony into your home.”
