Attom Tech has announced a recall of its LED light-up jelly ring toys due to a serious ingestion hazard that violates federal safety regulations.

The recall affects approximately 4,100 units sold exclusively on Amazon.com.

Recall Details

The recall was issued because the toys contain button cell batteries that are easily accessible to children.

These batteries pose a severe risk if swallowed, including the potential for internal chemical burns, which can be life-threatening.

The accessibility of these batteries violates federal safety standards for battery-operated toys, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

No injuries or incidents related to these toys have been reported.

The recalled LED light-up jelly rings were sold in packs of 30, featuring various shapes, sizes, and colors. Each ring was individually wrapped in plastic and packaged in a bag with the "NiToy" logo.

Consumer Guidance

Consumers who purchased these toys should immediately stop using them and keep them out of reach of children. Attom Tech advises contacting them for instructions on safe disposal and to receive a full refund. The button cell batteries should be taken to a recycling facility or a local site that handles hazardous household waste.

Amazon is in the process of directly notifying all known purchasers of the recall.

The affected products were available on Amazon.com from August 2021 to June 2024, priced at around $16.
