Suzanne Somers, known for her leading role in the TV series 'Kaos i Famlien,' which aired in 90s, passed away on Sunday morning.
The news was confirmed by People magazine. She was 76 years old.
In a statement released by her longtime publicist, R. Couri Hay, on behalf of her family, it was revealed that Somers had been living with an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.
"Suzanne Somers peacefully passed away at home in the early morning hours of October 15," the statement read.
The actress was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her closest family members.
The family had gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16. Instead, they will now celebrate her extraordinary life.
"We would like to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly," the family said.
In recent years, Suzanne Somers had primarily been active as a businesswoman, selling clothing and beauty products, as well as giving lectures on health.
She made her big-screen debut in 1968 and also participated in various reality shows, including the American version of 'Dancing with the Stars.'
