US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated that the US is committed to taking all possible steps to prevent Iran and North Korea from supplying weapons to Russia. He spoke at a joint press conference with the NATO Secretary General in Washington, as reported by Ukrinform and the State Department.

"We will continue to do everything possible to stop the support provided to Russia by countries like Iran and North Korea," Blinken said.

He pointed out that Russia is "desperately trying to strengthen relations with countries that can provide it with what it needs to continue the war in Ukraine," specifically mentioning Iran and North Korea.

Blinken expressed deep concerns about these countries' support for Russia, as it prolongs the war.

"The quickest way to end the war would be to stop Putin from thinking that he can outlast Ukraine and all its allies," he said.

Blinken added that if Russia can't get the supplies it needs, the war could end sooner.

Ukrinform reported that North Korea has likely sent Moscow about 5 million artillery shells in exchange for technology for space satellites and conventional weapons. The US wants to stop this kind of support to Russia.
