As Andrew and Tristan Tate face human trafficking charges in Romania, two British women have come forward accusing the brothers of rape and sexual abuse in the UK.
Violent Assaults
The accusations, dating back more than a decade, add to the growing legal troubles surrounding the controversial internet personalities.
Andrew Tate, currently under house arrest in Romania, is already facing charges of human trafficking and rape in the country. Romanian authorities are also considering additional charges involving minors, according to Ziare.
Meanwhile, the new allegations from British women, revealed by BBC and Panorama, detail violent sexual assaults that took place when Andrew Tate lived in Luton.
Strangled and Raped
One woman, using the alias “Anna,” accused Andrew Tate of raping her in 2013 after he strangled her during an attack. She reported receiving disturbing messages from him afterward, in which he allegedly admitted to enjoying the assault.
Another woman, “Sienna,” recounted a similar experience, describing how Tate strangled her until she lost consciousness during a sexual encounter.
The women reported their experiences to police in Bedfordshire in 2014, but prosecutors at the time determined there was insufficient evidence to bring charges.
Both Tates deny all accusations. In a prior interview, Andrew Tate stated that he had never harmed anyone and denied engaging in non-consensual sexual activities.
These new claims come as Romanian authorities continue to investigate the brothers for trafficking and exploiting women for their webcam business, which they ran in Bucharest. If convicted, the Tates could face more than a decade in prison.
