"Buffy" actor Camden Toy has died at the age of 68 after nearly a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, as reported by several media outlets including TMZ.
The news of his death was announced on Facebook, where condolences have poured in from friends, family, and fans. In February 2021, Toy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer following a period of unexplained pain, shared by his girlfriend Bethany Henderson.
She also revealed that his condition had worsened in recent months, and in the days leading up to his death, he was unable to communicate.
The public only learned about Camden's illness a few days ago when Bethany Henderson posted about his condition on Facebook.
According to Henderson, the actor had wished to keep his illness private. In her Facebook post, she expressed that they were full of hope and had expected him to have more time.
"Even the recent challenges felt like just small bumps in the road, but unfortunately, it now seems that the doctors can do no more," she wrote in the touching post.
Henderson also expressed her sadness about the shock his fans would experience upon hearing the news of his, for many, sudden death.
Besides playing the eerie villain in the 90s series "Buffy," Camden Toy also appeared in the "Buffy" spinoff series "Angel," as well as "The Bay," "Average Joe," "Shameless," and "The Mentalist."
