A recent investigative report by the Dossier Center suggests that Russian President Vladimir Putin may have a secret residence located near the Finnish border in the republic of Karelia, Russia. The property, approximately 30 kilometers from Finland, is described as a secluded and heavily guarded area with features that suggest luxury and privacy.
The residence is said to contain three modern houses situated on the shore of Marjalahti Bay, complete with two helipads, yacht piers, and even a trout farm. Additionally, the property reportedly boasts a farm for marbled beef production.
Drone footage, obtained under undisclosed circumstances, showcases the extensive property, which spans about one square kilometer. A notable feature identified in the footage is a waterfall, which the Dossier Center alleges was illicitly removed from the Ladoga Skerries National Park.

The manner in which the journalists managed to capture the aerial images remains a mystery, as they claim to have circumvented around-the-clock security, intelligence personnel, and drone signal jamming. The style of the investigation is reminiscent of the anti-corruption work carried out by Alexei Navalny, a prominent Kremlin critic currently imprisoned.
Another intriguing aspect of the residence is a square-shaped embankment, which appeared two years ago and is speculated to be part of an anti-aircraft system, as suggested by vehicle tracks visible on the grounds.

According to local sources, Putin is believed to visit this secretive location at least once every year. The construction of the residence, overseen by Putin's close associates, reportedly commenced over a decade ago.
The Dossier Center's investigation links the residence to businessman and financier Yury Kovalchuk. He is alleged to be at the helm of a network of companies that cater to the president's leisure activities and manage his real estate assets.
Adding to the intrigue, the report mentions that a nearby hotel is owned by Kovalchuk, and a neighboring property belongs to Roman Abramovich, the former owner of the Chelsea football club, as per Russia’s property registry records. This discovery raises questions about the extent of Putin's assets and his connection to influential Russian businessmen.
