Late on the night of November 18, a Russian military drone struck a civilian hostel in the city of Glukhiv, located 185 miles northeast of Kyiv and just 10 miles from the Russian border.

The attack resulted in the deaths of at least six people, including a young child, while 12 other residents were reported injured.

Emergency services are still working at the scene as fears grow that more victims could be trapped under the rubble of the collapsed hostel.

The Sumy Oblast Military Administration (OVA) shared details on their official Telegram page, reporting that Russian forces deployed two Shahed-type drones to target the hostel.

"Russian aggressors have committed yet another atrocity in Sumy Oblast," the statement read.

The attack triggered air raid alerts across several regions of Ukraine as UAVs were detected overhead.
