The European Commission has confirmed that Ukraine has completed four additional reforms required to begin negotiations for accession to the European Union.

This milestone was announced by Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal via Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

"The European Commission supports the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU. We are grateful for the positive assessment of our European integration progress," Shmyhal wrote.

With the European Commission's support, Ukraine now looks to its European partners to begin formal membership negotiations.

Shmyhal expressed optimism that these talks could start as soon as this month.

"The Ukrainian people are choosing every day the right to be part of the European family in the war against the Russian aggressor," he added.

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna also stated that Ukraine will commence official negotiations on joining the EU within a few weeks.
