Alexander Stubb, the President of Finland, has unveiled the "secret" to Finland's impressive streak as the happiest country globally, according to the World Happiness Report. For seven years in a row, Finland has topped this esteemed list, and Stubb believes the reasons are clear.

In a tweet, Stubb attributed Finland's happiness to three main factors: its nature, the high level of trust among its people, and the quality of education.

At the same time, the Finnish president acknowledged that, of course, there are "naturally many other reasons for collective happiness."

The World Happiness Report annually ranks countries based on the well-being of their citizens, drawing on data from the past three years, in this instance from 2021 to 2023.

The report considers various metrics, including GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, levels of freedom, generosity, and the prevalence of corruption.

Finland maintained its top spot even through the pandemic, with Finns particularly valuing the country's culture of mutual trust. This ethos was instrumental in safeguarding both lives and livelihoods during challenging times.
