For years, the mystery of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance has captured global attention.
The British girl vanished in 2007 during a family vacation in Portugal, leading to countless theories and investigations.
Over time, several people have come forward claiming to be Madeleine, but none of their stories have been proven.
Now, Julia Wandelt, a 23-year-old Polish woman who previously made the same claim, has been arrested in the UK, according to Tag24.
Wandelt, who is also known as Julia Wendell or Julia Faustyna, was detained at Bristol Airport shortly after landing.
According to Leicestershire police, she and a 60-year-old woman from Wales were arrested on suspicion of stalking and causing serious harassment.
Both remain in custody while investigations continue. Wandelt had traveled from Wroclaw, Poland, to visit her friend when authorities took her into custody.
Just days before her arrest, Wandelt made new claims regarding her alleged connection to the McCann family.
She stated that DNA results strongly supported her theory that she is related to Madeleine’s father, Gerry McCann.
However, she did not provide any verified evidence to back up this statement.
Wandelt has been posting videos on TikTok for months, once again insisting that she is Madeleine McCann.
This is not the first time she has made such claims. Two years ago, she gained media attention after publicly stating she believed she was the missing girl.
At the time, a DNA test proved otherwise. The results showed that she has Polish, Lithuanian, and Romanian ancestry, making it impossible for her to be Madeleine.
After that revelation, she apologized to Madeleine’s parents, Gerry and Kate McCann.
Despite the DNA test results, Wandelt has resumed her claims. She now refers to Gerry and Kate McCann as her parents and insists that an unnamed "world expert" has confirmed she has British and Irish heritage.
Her statements have once again sparked public debate, but so far, there is no scientific proof to support her allegations.
