Prince Harry and Prince William reportedly met in secret on Wednesday, August 28, in Norfolk, England.

First time Since Coronation

The two brothers, whose strained relationship has been the subject of intense media scrutiny for years, attended the funeral of their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, the brother-in-law of Princess Diana, according to SE.

This private reunion marked the first time the brothers have been in close proximity since King Charles III's coronation. According to witnesses, the princes arrived discreetly and maintained a noticeable distance from each other throughout the service at St. Mary’s Church in Snettisham.

An anonymous local resident told The Sun, “I didn’t even realize they were there. They came very quietly.”

Another witness added, “William and Harry were both there, but we didn’t see them speak to each other. They kept their distance.”

Deep Rift Between Brothers

The encounter comes amid ongoing speculation about the deep rift between Harry and William, exacerbated by Harry and Meghan Markle’s public criticisms of the royal family.

Their fallout became widely known after Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, where they accused the royal family of racism and failing to support Meghan during her mental health struggles.

Despite this brief reunion, the relationship between the two brothers remains frosty. During the funeral, both Harry and William reportedly sat separately in the back of the church, giving no indication of a reconciliation.

The secretive nature of their meeting and the lack of interaction suggests that, despite their shared grief, the divisions within the royal family are far from healed.
