Gun violence shook New York City on Wednesday night as a shooting outside a nightclub in Queens left at least 10 people injured.

The victims, mostly teenagers, were caught in the chaos near Amazura nightclub in the Jamaica neighborhood shortly before 11:20 p.m., according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).

Authorities report that a group of four men fired at least 30 rounds into a crowd gathered outside the venue.

Searching for Sedan

The shooting injured six women and four men, aged 16 to 20. Fortunately, none of the injuries are life-threatening, and all victims are expected to recover. They have been transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Police are now searching for a sedan believed to be connected to the incident, although no arrests have been made at this time.

Investigators are combing through surveillance footage and gathering witness testimonies as they work to identify the suspects.

This latest mass shooting adds to the grim reality of rising gun violence in urban areas across the United States.

While authorities are still determining the motive, the NYPD has emphasized its commitment to ensuring public safety.

The Queens shooting occurred just hours after another devastating attack in New Orleans, where at least 15 people were killed when a truck plowed into a crowd of revelers on Bourbon Street celebrating the arrival of 2025.

These back-to-back incidents have cast a shadow over what should have been a night of celebration.

Officials and community leaders are urging anyone with information about the Queens shooting to come forward.

Meanwhile, the NYPD has increased patrols in nightlife hotspots to prevent further violence and reassure the public.
