One year after the tragic passing of Friends star Matthew Perry at age 54, his former home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, has sold for $8.55 million.

A Vacation Home

The buyer is Anita Verma-Lallian, a Scottsdale-based real estate developer and film producer, according to El Economista.

Verma-Lallian is the founder of Arizona Land Consulting, a real estate firm that focuses on land investment and development across Arizona, and she is also involved in South Asian storytelling projects in Hollywood.

According to her representative, the home will now be used as a vacation property.

The Pacific Palisades mansion, located in one of LA’s most sought-after neighborhoods, spans approximately 3,400 square feet and features four bedrooms.

Perry originally bought the home in 2020 for $6 million, real estate records show, and it became a quiet retreat for him in his later years.

Doctors Plead Guilty

Perry’s untimely passing in October 2023 shocked fans around the world. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported that he died from the “acute effects” of anesthesia combined with drowning in a hot tub.

While drugs were found at the scene, authorities quickly ruled out any criminal involvement in his death, bringing some relief to his fans and family.

The actor, who was best known for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, had openly shared his struggles with addiction and sobriety, endearing him to many.

The recent legal case surrounding his passing has brought further attention to the circumstances of his death. According to CNN, one of two doctors accused of illegally prescribing drugs to Perry in recent years pleaded guilty last week to distributing ketamine, though there was no direct connection established to Perry’s death.

As fans continue to mourn his loss, the sale of his former home adds another chapter to Perry’s legacy.
