In a recent development, Mexican celebrity Genoveva Casanova has categorically denied allegations suggesting a romantic relationship with Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark.
Speaking to the Spanish edition of Hola, Casanova stated,
“I categorically reject the claims that insinuate a romantic relationship between me and Prince Frederik. Any claim of this type is not only completely untrue but also maliciously distorts the facts.”
Sources close to Casanova have indicated that she and the Crown Prince are simply old friends with several mutual acquaintances.
However, the TV personality will not tolerate the spread of malicious rumors about her or Crown Prince Frederik.
“This is already in the hands of my lawyers, who will take the next steps to protect my right to honor, truth, and privacy,” she asserted.
The rumors surfaced after the 55-year-old Crown Prince was seen in the company of Genoveva Casanova in the heart of Madrid, where they reportedly visited a Picasso exhibition and dined together at a restaurant while the 51-year-old Crown Princess Mary was in New York.
The Mexico-born philanthropist and model was previously married to equestrian Cayetano Martínez, the current Count of Salvatierra and Duke of Arjona.
They married in 2005 but divorced three years later. She has also participated in the eighth season of Spain's version of "Masterchef Celebrity."
As of this report, the royal house has not provided any comments on the matter.
