On Tuesday morning, July 9, the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv was targeted by a massive missile attack by the Russian Federation.
As a result of the devastating strike on the city, 117 people have been reported injured, and 27 residents lost their lives. The Kyiv City Military Administration provided these figures via Telegram.
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA), Serhiy Popko, confirmed in a Telegram post that four children were among the deceased.
The State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations also reported finding the body of a boy during the night while clearing debris in the Shevchenkiv district.

"As a result of yesterday's enemy attack on Kyiv, 27 people were killed, among them 4 children, 117 were injured, and 7 people were rescued," read the message from the State Service.
Emergency operations are still ongoing at three locations around the capital, with 377 rescuers and 76 units of emergency services equipment involved in the search and rescue effort.
Earlier, the KMVA reported 27 deaths, including three children, and 82 injuries. These numbers have since been updated as rescue teams continue to work through the debris.
