Russian troops launched 11 attacks on the border communities of Ukraine's Sumy region throughout the night and into the morning, with 21 explosions reported, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration via Facebook.
The communities of Yunakivsk, Krasnopilsk, and Shalyginsk were the targets of these assaults.
Krasnopil was struck by artillery fire, with eight explosions reported.
Yunakiv faced both self-propelled artillery (four explosions) and anti-aircraft fire (seven explosions). In Shalyginsk, an airstrike using KAB bombs resulted in two explosions.
This follows a similar pattern of attacks, with Russian forces previously shelling the Sumy border six times, resulting in 17 explosions earlier in the day.
The ongoing bombardment has intensified tensions in the region, as Sumy continues to face repeated cross-border attacks from Russian forces.
