As darkness fell over the Nikopol district in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, the ominous sounds of artillery once again pierced the quiet evening.
This latest assault marked yet another chapter in the ongoing conflict, bringing disturbance and damage to the area.
Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, detailed the incident on his Telegram channel, describing how Russian forces targeted a village within the Chervonohryhorivka community.
No Rest from Assault
Despite the relentless nature of the strikes, fortunately, this incident did not result in any casualties. However, the impact on the district's infrastructure was notable.
Lysak's report came just after updates on a series of attacks earlier in the day, which saw 12 separate artillery barrages aimed at Nikopol.
These earlier attacks resulted in considerable damage to homes and power lines, further exacerbating the hardships faced by the local population.
The recurring strikes on Nikopol underline the ongoing challenges and the volatile security situation in the region. Despite the frequency of such incidents, the response from emergency services and local governance continues to demonstrate resilience and an urgent focus on safety and recovery for the affected communities.
