In a statement that could escalate global tensions, North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui called Russia’s actions in Ukraine a “holy war,” pledging support for Russia’s “sovereign rights and security interests.”

Speaking in Moscow on November 1, Choe said North Korea would stand firmly with Russia “until victory.”

Both ministers agreed that relations between their countries are now stronger than ever.

During the Moscow meeting, Choe cited orders from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to “powerfully provide assistance to the Russian army and people” in what Pyongyang now calls a “sacred struggle.”

The statement comes as North Korean soldiers have reportedly been spotted near the front lines, signaling an unusual degree of involvement.

Russia-North Korea Ties Grow Stronger

This declaration highlights an increasingly visible alliance between Russia and North Korea.

The two nations have shown alignment on various fronts, with intelligence reports suggesting that North Korean troops are assisting Russian forces near Donetsk.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently stated that intelligence points to direct North Korean involvement, further intensifying diplomatic fallout.
