In a bizarre turn of events in St. Petersburg, Florida, a 20-year-old woman named Miracle Rivera was arrested for an unusual assault involving a Christmas tree.

According to the arrest affidavit from the Smoking Gun, the incident unfolded in the couple's bedroom during a verbal altercation over alleged infidelity.

The dispute escalated when Rivera's 24-year-old boyfriend decided to leave the room and lie on the couch in the living room. Rivera, in a fit of anger, followed him and reportedly grabbed a Christmas tree, using it to repeatedly hit him.

The report did not specify the size of the tree or whether it was real or artificial, and the tree was not seized as evidence.

The assault with the Christmas tree resulted in the boyfriend sustaining numerous minor scratches over much of his upper body and arms.

Following the incident, Rivera was arrested and booked into the Pinellas County Jail on domestic battery charges on the morning of Christmas Eve. She was released on Christmas Day.
