Russian airstrikes targeted Kharkiv and its surrounding areas late on October 2, leaving 13 people injured, including a 3-year-old child.
The attack was launched from Russia's Belgorod region and involved two Su-34 aircraft, according to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The Russian planes dropped five guided bombs, hitting both the city and the nearby Derhachi community. Three of the bombs landed in residential areas of Kharkiv, causing extensive damage.
In the Saltivskyi district, one bomb struck a five-story apartment building between the third and fourth floors, setting off a fire. Twelve people were hurt in this attack, and nearby buildings, a clinic, and several vehicles were damaged.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, two bombs hit an open area, shattering windows in nearby apartments.
In the village of Zolochiv, at least 10 houses and farm buildings were damaged by airstrikes. A 69-year-old woman was treated for acute stress after the bombing.
Local authorities are treating the attacks as war crimes.
Prosecutors and police investigators are gathering evidence and documenting the destruction caused by the airstrikes.
