In reaction to Russian missile attacks on Ukraine, the Polish Air Force has been dispatched to safeguard the nation's airspace.

Enhanced Security Measures

Following the Russian strategic aviation's missile strikes on Ukraine, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, via Twitter (X), announced that Poland has initiated "all necessary procedures to ensure the security of Polish airspace."

This response includes heightened surveillance and preparedness to react to any threats near its borders.

Residents, especially in the southeast regions, were advised of possible increased noise levels due to the mobilization of Polish and allied aircraft.

Recent Attacks on Ukraine

The backdrop to this alert is Russia's extensive missile attack on Ukraine on the morning of February 14-15, causing explosions in cities like Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Lviv.

Lviv's Mayor, Andrii Sadovyi, reported that the city experienced a missile strike on an infrastructure facility on the morning of February 15, resulting in injuries to at least three individuals.

Similarly, in Zaporizhzhia, a missile hit a municipal infrastructure site, causing an injury.
